Rosalind Franklin article - 'So much more than the wronged heroine of DNA.' https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-02144-4?fbclid=IwAR1SO2MTlVupVeZOA38t-EHnz1uz_Q-euIq5rUbxSWDaxXj91vVdn44z8C8 "...Franklin’s remarkable work on DNA amounts to a fraction of her record and legacy. She was a tireless investigator of nature’s secrets, and worked across biology, chemistry and physics, with a focus on research that mattered to society. She made important advances in the science of coal and carbon, and she became an expert in the study of viruses that cause plant and human diseases. In essence, it is because of Franklin, her collaborators and successors, that today’s researchers are able to use tools such as DNA sequencing and X-ray crystallography to investigate viruses such as SARS-CoV-2."

It's Just a Phase They're Going Through! - Students observe the different phases of mitosis.
Meiosis animation shows how meiosis, the form of cell division unique to egg and sperm production, can give rise to sperm that carry either an X or a Y chromosome.
Role of p53 in Cell Cycle - activity analyses a published scientific figure from a study that investigated the role of p53 in cell cycle regulation.
Synchronised Division activity explores an image of early embryonic cells, which serves as a phenomenon for learning about cell division and development.
Human Embryonic Development animation gives an overview of how a fertilised human egg develops into an embryo.
Creating Embryonic Stem Cell Lines animation shows how stem cells from early mammalian embryos can be grown and studied in a laboratory.
Differentiation and the Fate of Cells animation describes the formation and fates of the three germ layers in a human embryo.

Mitosis role-playing activity that actively engages students in the learning process of mitosis. Students play either chromosomes carrying information, or cells in the cell membrane.
Students as "Humans Chromosomes" in Role-Playing Mitosis and Meiosis Students often find it challenging to understand mitosis and meiosis and determine their processes. To develop an easier way to understand these terms, students are asked to role-play mitosis and meiosis and students themselves act as human chromosomes, which help students to learn differences between mitosis and meiosis.
